Inspection of Turbine Blades and Air Foils on a Coordinate Measuring Machine.


The program package Turbine Blade / Air Foil can be used for the measurement of turbine blades and airfoils on a 3D Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM).

Besides the inspection of turbine blades and air foils, this QUINDOS package can also generate the milling path to produce the measured air foils.


The QUINDOS Turbine Blade / Air Foil package offers following features:

  • Measurement of the thickness of the turbine blade at predetermined heights
  • Skeleton line calculation
  • Plot of the turbine blade profile sections showing the skeleton line (including the leading and trailing edge, max. inscribed circle, chord line etc.)
  • Generation of the profile tolerance lines
  • Transformation of the 3D deviations into 2D deviations
  • Linear profile extensions and generation of points on a B-spline curve.
