The package Gear Gauges is used to calibrate involute and lead masters on ultra high precision Leitz coordinate measuring machines.
Typical users of this option are governmental calibration laboratories (PTB in Germany, NIST in USA, CSIRO in Australia, NPL in UK and others) and the quality assurance departments of large companies.
The purpose of this option is the calibration of gear gages used for the qualification/testing of gear testers. Therefore, only 3D coordinate measuring machines of the highest accuracy, such as the Leitz PMM-C 700 Infinity, can be used for the calibration of gear gauges.
